Jetbird | Safety & Reliability

Jetbird will conform to the rigorous regulatory requirements equivalent to that of a commercial airline. As a European operator, Jetbird is proud to operate under one of aviation’s strictest regulatory environments. Governed by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), Jetbird must conform on an ongoing basis to the same requirements as those in place for the traditional airlines such as Lufthansa, British Airways and Air France-KLM.

Internationally-set safety standards emanating from the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO); European Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA); EUROCONTROL; the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the European Union (EU) guide the IAA in ensuring that Irish civil aviation operates to the most stringent safety standards.

  • Jetbird’s number one priority is safety and it is fundamental to all that we do. Safety will never be compromised.
  • Jetbird meets and often exceeds the legal and operational safety requirements of the relevant authorities in Europe.
  • Jetbird, in addition to other operators, manufacturers and a variety of aviation industry entities, is working very closely with EuroControl, in advance of the Jetbird operational launch, to ensure a seamless integration into European airspace. This consultation process is a continuous and evolutionary process to ensure that advances in technology are embraced in line with the very best flight safety and operational processes.
