Germany | Frankfurt
Frankfurt is the business and financial center of Germany and the largest city in the German state of Hesse.
The city is located on the river Main and is the financial capital of Continental Europe and the transportation centre of Germany. Frankfurt is home of the European Central Bank and the German Stock Exchange. It has excellent connectivity between railways, airlines and motorways. Reaching and leaving Frankfurt is easy.
The city is located between the hills and forests of the Taunus, the Rhine and Main Rivers and the picturesque vineyards of the Rhinegau, it combines the modern with the traditional and the urban with the rural.
Frankfurt has some of the tallest buildings in Europe such as the Commerzbank tower. Its skyline is unique for the country as the high-rises are concentrated in such a small downtown area, it is for this reason that Frankfurt is sometimes called by the nickname Mainhattan.
Main attractions include the Goethe house, numerous museums such as Naturmuseum Senckenberg, Deutsches Ledermuseum, Architektur Museum along the museum bank or the typical Frankfurt quarter "Sachsenhausen".
