From early 2009, JetBird will offer a point-to-point, on demand private
jet service in Europe. The launch of JetBird will mark a revolution in the
way people travel in the region. JetBird will offer all of the benefits of
traditional private jet usage, but at a fraction of the cost of existing
branded private jet operators.
Virtually all of us who fly regularly would surely seize the chance travel on private jets. However, to date, the cost of private flight has proved prohibitive for all but the most senior executives and the wealthiest individuals, with flight costs being many multiples of business class tickets on commercial aircraft.
JetBird promises to change that. We will purchase up to 100 Embraer Phenom 100 aircraft, a plane that offers similar cabin space and range to many existing, more expensive, private jets. Through scale and new aircraft technologies, JetBird will provide true low fare private airline travel, providing the benefits of private aircraft travel at approximately half the cost of larger branded competitors. JetBird will appeal to customers of high-cost alternatives, while creating an entirely new experience for those whose time is valuable but, for whom, such travel was previously not affordable.
JetBird will expand its operations to a number of other “mini-hubs”, offering our vision of pleasurable, efficient travel to the largest geographic group possible. It is our expectation to have aircraft permanently based a maximum of 30 minutes away from our hubs. Within five years of launch, JetBird will travel wherever, and whenever, our customers want.
